C.B. Landclearing is the newest division of Great Woods Companies,
formed in 2002 in order to serve the growing need for clearing
services. We work in Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts on all
types or projects including, but not limited to, house lots,
commercial/industrial developments, roads, parks, field reclamation,
golf courses, and power and gas line maintenance. Our range of work
involves tree removal, brush removal, chipping, and most recently,
mowing. Our
newest piece of equipment is capable of mowing everything from brush
and
multiflora rose to small trees. This machine has already proven itself
in several situations where much hand work would have otherwise been
needed. It is able to maneuver into small areas, such as between trees
and around fences. Here is an example of a job that
shows the capability of the mower. It was an apple orchard that had
been
neglected and seriously overgrew. The customer wished to reclaim the
orchard, and gave us a call. We completed the entire orchard in a half
day's time, and as you can see by the photo below, there was very
little left for the owner to worry about. This same machine can be used to clear undergrowth from wooded areas, trails and paths. It is the perfect size to reclaim edges of fields that have grown in over time. When used in conjunction with our other equipment,
clearing areas for building and development leaves a much cleaner end

I believe that there is no body of men who have it in their power today
to do a greater service to the country than those engaged in the
scientific study of, and practical application of, approved methods of
